Our Fourth Annual Hoop to Give Hope 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will take place on Saturday April 18, 2009.

The Tournament will take place at the Westside Community Center. The Gym is located on the corner 108th and Grover at 3534 S 108th St, Omaha, NE‎ .

Originally, we only planned to have two adult leagues, but we have had an interest in bringing back the Youth Division. So there are three divisions for teams. Prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place teams per division.

  • Open Adult Division – Competitive division for more skilled players.
  • Adult Recreational – For teams looking to just have fun.
  • Youth – Teams made up of players between 11 and 14 years old.

Teams can be up to 4 players. Registration is $50 per team and is due by April 12th. After April 12, there is an additional $10 late fee to register. Please contact Richard Krueger by email: hoop4hopeomaha@gmail.com or by phone: (402)630-5197.

The Hoop to Give Hope Tournament is a fundraiser sponsored by the Omaha Church of Christ. All proceeds and donations will benefit HOPE Worldwide.

Tournament Update!

The 2009 Hoop to Give Hope tournament is almost here and I hope every one is as excited as me! It looks to be our best turn out yet as long as everyone I’ve spoken with registers. I am waiving the late fee for anyone not registered but please register by Friday April 17th to give me time to set up the tournament. I also want to let everyone know that we will still be having our 3 point contest after returning from the lunch break and this year the winner will walk away with a Basketball donated by Schells! Speaking of lunch the Westside 66 Catering has decided to sell lunch, snacks, and drinks during the event with a percentage of the proceeds going to HOPE worldwide. Get your starters ready, the games start in less than a week!
